What's the Difference and Which is Right for you? 

In today’s fast-paced world, more and more people are seeking ways to truly switch off, reconnect with themselves, and find a sense of peace.  
Sound therapy has quickly become one of the most beautiful and accessible practices for doing just that — but if you’ve been looking into it, you’ve probably come across terms like sound bath and sound healing. So, what’s the difference?

- What Is a Sound Bath? 
 
Think of a sound bath as a soothing sonic hug. You lie back (usually wrapped in a blanket, maybe with an eye mask on), and let the waves of sound wash over you. In our sound baths, all the instruments are ready and waiting to hold the space for you to deeply relax. We create an immersive soundscape using a range of healing tools — crystal bowls, chimes, gongs and more — and your body intuitively takes what it needs from the frequencies played. 
It’s a passive yet powerful experience — like a deep rest that reaches your whole system. Perfect if you’re new to sound work or simply craving some calming, meditative time out. 
 
- What Is Sound Healing? 
 
Sound healing takes things a little deeper. It’s a more intentional energetic journey, designed to help shift stagnant energy and activate the body’s own healing processes. 
We begin with a gentle sage cleansing to clear the space around you. Then, I guide you through an energetic opening meditation while playing the associated crystal singing bowl — aligning sound with energy centres (chakras) to open you up from the inside out. Once you're settled, you'll lie back while the crystal bowls and Bea (my beautiful gong) help to awaken and harmonise your energetic pathways. 
It’s like a vibrational massage for your spirit — grounding, activating, and incredibly nurturing. 
 
- Which One Should You Choose? 
Both sound baths and sound healing sessions are beautiful in their own way.  
One isn’t “better” than the other — it’s simply a matter of what you feel drawn to in the moment. 
If you’re looking to relax, de-stress, and soak in some calming vibes, a sound bath might be just the ticket.
